The Hauck Varioguard Child Car Seat is a Group 0+/1 combination seat suitable for use from birth right through to when the child weighs 18kg.
With the ability to be placed front or rear facing, the seat ensures highest levels of safety in the first months of the child's life with a rear facing format which can also continue to the group 1 phase (9-18Kg). Continuing the rear facing orientation for as long as possible will ensure maximum safety in a impact, however if you prefer to rotate the seat to forward facing, Hauck ensure full ECE approval to ensure occupants are too safe in this manner should the worse case occur.
The Varioguard features shock absorbant memory foam which is fitted to the head area, which has been tested and performs to excellent standards. The cushions and covers of the Varioguard have been refreshed with breathable materials to minimize heat build up.
The Varioguard seat is equipped with an Isofix fixing which is designed to be extremely safe as the seat is secured to the vehicle by a fixed bar. The seat can be fitted to any vehicle with a 3 point seat belt ensuring it is not limited to just vehicles with just Isofix. The Isofix base of the Varioguard can be locked in the car via a pedestal. If there is no connection for the Isofix base, just fasten the base with the seat belt in your car.
If you use the Isofix connection of your car, you can use the Varioguard for up to and including group I, which means from birth onwards to 18 kg of weight in rearward facing mounted position.
Alternatively, the Varioguard can also be fastened on the base with the 3-point seat belt of your vehicle. In this situation, the seat can be used as rear facing in group 0 + (from birth to 13kg) and then used in the direction of travel (9-18 kg). In this position, the inclination angle of the seat can be adjusted into 5 positions. The height-adjustable head protection offers the highest level of safety and optimum side impact protection in all positions.
