We know just how important a good night’s sleep is to you and your baby; that’s why we’ve dedicated blogs to helping them fall asleep as well as helping them stay asleep. Today, though, we’re going to be looking at an exciting new addition to the Daisy Baby store that will make bedtime that little bit easier.
The Slumber Bear Plus is a cute and cuddly teddy bear created in 1978 by Prince Lionheart. What makes this bear special, though, is the fact that it comes with a sound box. This has been programmed with a variety of different noises that have been specially chosen for their calming effect on babies.
As you’d expect, the sound box can play lullabies and the sound of the ocean. Slightly more unusual, but just as effective, is the option to play white noise or even sounds recorded from inside a mother’s womb. These sounds are perfect for newborns who are struggling to settle at night as it will remind them the safety and security of their time in the womb.
This sound box can either be placed inside the Slumber Bear or hung on the side of the cot. It even has a five minute timer that will help to preserve the batteries, but also features sound and motion sensors so that the sounds will start again should your baby wake up.
To further add to feeling of safety and security, the Slumber Bear Plus also comes with a Silkie. This super-soft blanket is specially designed to retain parents’ scent. Not only will this help baby to bond with its parents, but it will also reassure him of their presence if he wakes in the night.
Like with every product we sell at Daisy Baby, we genuinely think that the Slumber Bear Plus is a fantastic sleep and bonding aid. The bear itself is sure to be treasured for years to come, even after the sound box isn’t used any more. However, it’s not just us that loves the Slumber Bear; it’s won several awards including a Silver medal from the Practical Pre-School Awards.
